Board of Directors 

HELP, Inc. is a nonprofit organization supported by donations.  HELP is directed by a Board of Directors who oversee the organization.  International, United States and African directors, along with other key staff, direct day to day operations.  The Board of Directors is made up of community leaders and business professionals who have the professional experience needed to ensure our organization is running proficiently.  The Board meets quarterly to discuss policy and to give direction.

TERRY FREDEKING | Board Member since 2006                                                                                                                                                                                         In his mid-thirties, Terry founded Antibody Associates which later became Antibody systems. Antibody Systems is a leading supplier of raw materials for diagnostic and therapeutic products for national and international pharmaceutical companies. Antibody Systems has produced raw materials for such developmental products as Hepatitis B Vaccine, Rho-D, B-PIG and I.N.D. vaccines to produce hyper immune plasma and infectious disease diagnostic controls. TRACY GOEN | Founder of HELP                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         In addition to being Director of HELP, Tracy also practices family medicine at his clinic in Texas.  As well as traveling  quarterly to Nigeria, he also travels throughout the United States sharing the ministry with churches and other various groups.  He and Patty have been married for over 20 years and have 5 children: Elise, Jimmy, Jenna, Sam and Katie.   

JIM MAKENS | Board Member since 2006                                                                                                                                                                                                         A graduate of North Texas State University, Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Accounting. After working in real estate brokerage for ten years, he established The Makens Company in 1994 and has flourished in the commercial real estate industry of Dallas-Fort Worth. Being grateful for his success, Jim joined HELP's Board of Directors to contribute to what he values as a worthy and charitable cause. In addition to offering good counsel and ideas concerning our ministries and projects, Jim has also contributed to HELP by raising capital and giving much of his own resources to provide numerous water wells and other services for the people of Nigeria. Jim and his beautiful wife of 14 years have two daughters, ages 10 and 4. He and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting.

DAVID JENNINGS | Board Member since 2006                                                                                                                                                                                        David has been married to Karen since 1984.  They have three children: Sarah, John and Mark.  He has been a State Farm Insurance Agent in Temple, TX since 1985 and is also an Elder at Temple Bible Church.  He has been part of the Goen's original support team since 1999.  His entire family was able to visit Egbe, Nigeria with Tracy when the Fulani honored him as a Fulani King.

KENT RAY | Board Member since 2006                                                                                                                                                                                                        Kent and his wife, LaVon, have three boys, Colton, Tanner and Jake. He has been a CPA since 1982 and a partner at the accounting firm of Milbern Ray and Company LLP since 1985.  He is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.   He currently serves on the Board as Treasurer and has been providing accounting services and financial advice since 2004.

ANDY WALLACE | Board Member since 2006                                                                                                                                                                                              Andy is retired from law enforcement and home building. He began work traveling around the world serving Him about 9 years ago. He took his first trip to Nigeria in 2005 and fell in love with the Fulani....a very gracious, loving people. Andy considers serving as a board member for HELP a blessing....and it has allowed him to work alongside Dr.Goen in our endeavors to meet the needs of the Fulani people.
