Medical Care
HELP operates a medical clinic and mobile outreach program to immunize, diagnose and treat the Fulani, Yoruba and other Nigerian people groups. The purpose of the clinic is to provide acute care and disease prevention. The main focus is providing immunizations for both children and adults. Fulani children have a 0% immunization rate resulting in diseases such as Tetanus, Polio and Measles.
Doctors and nurses from all types of specialties are encouraged to attend one of our quarterly mission trips. You will have the opportunity to visit both the ECWA Hospital and the Fulani villages where your medical skills will be put to good use.
HELP partners with the ECWA hospital where all aspects of medicine is available to be taught and practiced. Here is a short list of medical provider needs:
Nurses to teach at the nurse training center
All types of nurses, doctors, surgeons, anesthesiologists, scrub techs, ER techs
Labor and delivery personnel
AIDS research and lab techs
Facility maintenance
Pharmacy technicians
A list of medical personnel with contact information that have been to Nigeria through HELP is available upon request. Short-term and long-term trips are available, and residency programs are encouraged.
