Who We Reach
The Fulani is the world’s largest unreached people group with over 25 million in West Africa and 12 million in Nigeria. Fewer than 10% have ever heard the name of Christ. They live in desperate need physically, intellectually and spiritually. Two-thirds of the people are illiterate and live on less than $1 a day. Malnutrition, malaria, diarrhea, tuberculosis and other diseases take thousands of lives. An estimated 2.9 million Nigerians were HIV positive by the end of 2005 – more than any other country in the world! Futhermore, over 250,000 people died from AIDS in 2005 resulting in over 900,000 orphans.
